Every Xbox One pre-ordered in Europe will come bundled with a copy of EA Sports title FIFA 14.
Microsoft made the announcement at its Gamescom press event in Cologne, Germany.
Original story: According to a report on CVG, Microsoft has signed a deal that will see a "major third-party title" given away free with every Xbox One launch system across Europe.
The deal, which could also be offered in the US, is said to include a full-price game that is a “major” Christmas release.
CVG’s anonymous source said the initiative was part of Microsoft's goal to add value to its system without lowering its release day price.
The Xbox One will launch at NZ$749, while Sony’s PlayStation 4 will debut at NZ$649.
Microsoft executive Phil Spencer is expected to announce the deal at Gamescom, which runs from August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany.
