Call of Duty: Black Ops II now tops the list of most-requested Xbox 360 games for Xbox One backwards compatibility.

Six of the top twelve on the list are Call of Duty titles, in fact, including all the Modern Warfare and Black Ops titles, and World at War.

Black Ops II edges out Red Dead Redemption, Skyrim, and the Bioshock games for the top spot on the list.

With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops III imminent, and Activision committed to their yearly refresh cycle, it seems unlikely that previous games would be given the backwards-compatibility treatment.

Enabling Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on the Xbox One requires cooperation between Microsoft and the publisher of the game in question.

The current list stands thusly:

Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Red Dead Redemption
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Halo: Reach
Call of Duty: Black Ops
Gears of War 3
Fallout 3
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Mass Effect 3
Call of Duty: World at War
BioShock Infinite
Fallout: New Vegas
Left 4 Dead 2
