343 Industries has announced a live action Halo series which premieres this October.
Titled “Forward Unto Dawn”, the series purports to “take fans back to the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war, when the Master Chief inspired a young cadet who would eventually become a leader aboard the UNSC’s greatest vessel: the UNSC Infinity”.
All five episodes will be available on YouTube and Halo Waypoint.
Extra Halo 4 gameplay content has also been announced.
Halo 4 will be extended with Spartan Ops, weekly missions for up to four players that extend the story beyond that of the campaign mode, at no extra cost to the player.
Each will be preceded by a cinematic episode available via Xbox Live, which will provide the backdrop for the mission.
Finally, armour modifications are coming to Halo 4 multiplayer.
Here, players earn and activate combat enhancements called “specialisations”, based on the style of play they engage in.
Halo 4 is due for release on November 6 on Xbox 360.
Limited Editions of the game will include map packs, early access to multiplayer customisations, weapon and armour skins and more.
