It looks like Rayman Legends won’t be a Wii U exclusive after all, despite featuring a co-op character controlled by that system’s touch screen.

“We’re not really saying it’s a Wii U exclusive although right now all we’re showing is the Wii U. We’re looking at a lot of different launch options,” said Rayman Legends senior game manager Michael Micholic.

It’s seems likely that the character in question, Murray, will either be excised from other console versions of the game, or be playable with a standard controller.

The latter scenario would reduce the maximum number of co-op players down to four.

Another less-likely possibility: control of Murray via Smart Glass on the Xbox.

Rayman Legends is a launch title for the Wii U, rumoured to be coming this November.
