As rumoured, Final Fantasy XV will release on September 30, Square Enix has confirmed.
The game will be available in standard, deluxe, and ultimate collector’s editions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
A new demo, Platinum Demo, is available for the game right now. According to Square, it is set in a whimsical dreamscape, and you play as a child Noctis traversing the world with your new pal, Carbuncle.
Square also announced Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV, a five-part anime series telling the backstory of all of the friends. The series’ announcement trailer and first episode are available below. Subsequent episodes will be released before the game's launch, and all episodes will be able to be streamed for free.
On top of that, the publisher also unveiled Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy, a CG movie that according to Square will blur the lines between animation and reality.
Kingsglaive stars Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey and Sean Bean, and tells the story of Nyx (Aaron Paul), Noctis’ dad King Regis, and the events that lead to the war that envelops the kingdom of Lucis.
