No Man's Sky will launch June 21st at a price of US$59.99, developer Hello Games announced today.
Confirming yesterday's rumour, the studio additionally announced that the space and planetary combat and exploration game will be available both digitally and at retail stores.
Sony is producing a Limited Edition of the title that includes an art book, a comic, and some in-game items.
If that's not enough, iam8bit's US$149.99 "Explorer's Edition," limited to 10,000 copies, comes with a ship replica and diorama, an enamel pin, and a "mystery item" to be announced at launch.
The company's wide range of No Man's Sky merchandise also includes a 2-LP vinyl edition of the game's soundtrack.
As far as game features go, Hello Games founder Sean Murray said in a PlayStation Blog post that in addition to everything announced thus far, the game will feature alien NPCs from a range of different races and factions, each with unique strengths and languages, which can become allies or enemies.
