Epic Mickey 2 gives the player so many choices that affect the game in such meaningful ways that it will make them “forget there was ever a game called Deus Ex or System Shock", says designer Warren Spector.

According to Spector, there are so many characters to fight or befriend that Epic Mickey 2 will require at least three playthroughs before players have seen all the game has to offer.

"You can befriend or defeat everything in the game," he said, adding that what a player chooses to do "really, really, really, really, really makes a difference".

Spector was also confident about the robustness of the game’s controls.

"I'm going to make you a promise: if you play it on the Wii, you'll never touch the camera controls," he said.

A third Epic Mickey was planned should this iteration sell well enough, he added.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two comes to Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac and PC on November 18.
