Blizzard has confirmed to Destructoid that their previously announced next-generation MMO is currently referred to as Titan.

Confirmation of the titular designation of this project comes on the heels of a supposedly leaked release schedule outlining Blizzard's projects for the next five years. This schedule, circulated by MMOGameSite and widely believed to have been inadvertently released by Blizzard's Chinese office, lists Titan (possibly a working title) with a Q4 2013 release date.

In Destructoid's video interview with Blizzard's Frank Pearce, the World of Warcraft's executive producer states:

"Titan... The media is not meant to know anything about that. It's our next gen MMO and we've only started talking about it in a limited fashion because we want to leverage the fact that we're working on something like that for the purpose of recruiting – getting some of the best talent in the industry on that."

At this stage, nothing more is known of Titan, other than it will be based on completely new intellectual property. Earlier this year, VG247 reported that Rob Pardo, Vice President of Game Design, has indicated that no further information will be revealed until 2012.
