Total War: Warhammer has been delayed by a month to May 24th, says developer Creative Assembly.

Mike Simpson, the game's creative director, said that "this could be the best Total War game [the studio has] ever made. We don't want to rush it."

"It's an enormous game and we also want to make absolutely sure reviewers have enough time to play it thoroughly before launch."

The studio also released three sets of PC specifications, so players can extrapolate exactly what frame rate they'd achieve without needing to go through the rigmarole of actually playing the game.

The Minimum specifications, believed to reach 15-25fps with Low graphics settings:

Operating System: Windows 7 64Bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 3.0Ghz
RAM: 3GB*
Hard Drive: 35 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Radeon HD 5770 1024MB | NVIDIA GTS 450 1024MB | Intel HD4000 @720P
(*)PC integrated graphics chipsets require 4GB ram, e.g. Intel HD series

But few gamers will be satisfied with the minimum specs, which is where the recommended settings come in.

The Recommended specs, a higher class of specifications altogether, are expected to reach 45-55fps with High settings.

Operating System: Windows 7/8.1/10 64Bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4570 3.20GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Hard Drive: 35 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Radeon R9 270X 2048MB | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2048MB @1080P

However, even the recommended specs will be insufficient for any self-respecting gamer; enter "60FPS+".

Truly the Mount Everest of system specifications, the 60FPS+ spec promises to bring gamers to a state of nirvana 60 times a second, even at Ultra graphics settings – if such a wondrous claim can even be true.

Operating System: Windows 7/8.1/10 64Bit
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 4.0 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
Hard Drive: 35 GB
Video Card: (DirectX 11) AMD Fury X or Nvidia GTX 980 @1080P

Total War: Warhammer launches May 24th, only on PC.
