ESL will operate a live esports arena at this year's PAX Aus gaming convention.
Multiple tournaments will be held in three games, each with a prize pool and each taking place in a purpose-built arena.
The first announced title is Smite, whose Oceania Regional Championship finals will take place on the Saturday evening, with teams competing for a AU$50,000 prize pool.
ESL's presence suggests esports will play a bigger role than ever at this year's show, having only been present previously in the form of a giant League of Legends booth.
It will partner with the Australian Cyber League for the event.
"eSports has grown to become such a massive cornerstone of the gaming community over the last decade, it only made sense that it would eventually become a prominent part of PAX Aus," said PAX Content and Community Manager Guy Blomberg.
PAX Aus runs from 30 October to 1 November at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
