Dragon Age 4 creative director Fernando Melo has left BioWare in the second high-profile departure this week.

Melo announced his departure on Twitter, saying "Today was my last day at BioWare. After 12 years.. that's a heck of a lot of feels."

"To be clear, this is my own decision," Melo noted. "I've been wanting to take some time to disconnect and explore a couple ideas for next chapter in my career."

The news comes just days after Anthem lead producer Ben Irving announced his departure from the studio for another studio.

During his twelve years at BioWare, Melo served as senior producer on Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2.

In his series of tweets, Melo shared his farewell to BioWare staff, in which he described the upcoming Dragon Age title as "the definitive Dragon Age experience."
