d Cells was one of my favourite games of 2018 and should be played by anyone with a passing interest in the Metroidvania genre.
While the game has already been out for a while on PC and consoles, developers Motion Twin and publisher Playdigious have announced that they will be bringing the game to mobile devices, with iPhone and iPad leading the charge (Android versions will arrive later).
The upcoming mobile version will feature a customizable interface, controller support and no dreaded free-to-play implementations.
If you somehow missed out on Dead Cells the first time around, provided it controls well, there's no excuse not to pick it up once it arrives on mobile. I can't count the number of late nights I had staying up for "just one more run" and consider it to be one of the most excellent Indie releases in recent years.
