While this week is full of rumoured games in the lead up to The Game Awards, one studio has already shut down speculation.
Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series has confirmed it will not be making an announcement at the show.
The news comes from game director and studio co-founder, Sefton Hill:
Looking forward to #TheGameAwards this year! We’re still hard at work in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from @Rocksteadygames. When it’s ready to show, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman 😳— Sefton Hill (@Seftonhill) November 30, 2018
Batman: Arkham VR was Rocksteady's last release back in 2016, so we're about due another full title from the studio.
While the news is certainly a blow to those hoping a Man of Steel game was just around the corner, there's a glimmer of hope in that Hill didn't deny a Justice League game.
