If newly leaked video is to be believed, there's an open-world Harry Potter game in the works.
A trailer for the unconfirmed game was shared by Reddit user VapeThisBro, who captured the footage as part of a focus group.
While the YouTube upload has since been pulled by Warner Bros, a mirror is still available.
"This isn’t some marketing ploy," VapeThisBro noted. "If you notice the bottom right corner of the video, its censored because it has a serial number identifying me so WB can sue the ever living shit out of me."
According to marketing material that was available to the focus group, the game will be set in the 19th Century, following a fifth-year student at Hogwarts.
"Upon arrival, strange events begin to materialize In the Forbidden Forrest and trouble begins to brew within the castle walls," the material states. "Together with Professor Elezar Fig, you embark on a journey through both familiar and never before seen locations to bring to light the truth behind these mysterious occurrences.
"On your quest you will craft potions, master new spells, and discover fantastical beasts. You will battle Dark Wizards, Goblins, and other supernatural enemies and uncover the truth about your destiny - the Fate of the Wizarding World lies in your hands."
The open-world RPG will be 3rd person and will allow players to "become one of 8 different Wizard types" while they "freely explore the Wizarding World for the first time."
While the last book in the Harry Potter series released in 2007 – and the final film adaption in 2011 – this hasn't stopped author J.K Rowling from expanding the universe with additional films, stage productions, and more.
Speculation points to Avalanche Software being the the developer behind the project, with Kotaku pointing out that the company was looking for "a talented storyteller with a deep understanding of British culture and grammatical presentation."
Here's hoping we'll see the official reveal soon.
