Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that it will be showing off first time footage of the upcoming Doom Eternal on the 10th of August, during day two of Quakecon.
Following 2016's critically acclaimed Doom, Doom Eternal was announced during Bethesda's E3 conference with an awesome CG teaser trailer showing what looks to be Earth taken over by Hell and it's army of minions.
Here at Gameplanet, we were huge fans of the last Doom, with reviewer Ben Allan giving it a 9.0, stating "Doom is a confident, cracking throwback that pays loving tribute to its much-vaunted forefathers while bringing the noise via cutting edge tech. In a world awash with sci-fi hitscan shooters, it's a breath of fiery air that will delight as it melts faces."
I think it's safe to assume that we're in for one hell of a trip when Doom Eternal releases. Here's hoping the gameplay we see at Quakecon lives up the the lofty expectations of the hardcore fanbase.
