A Sydney based pianist is celebrating 30 years of Final Fantasy and 15 years of Kingdom Hearts with a concert full of music from the two enduring franchises.

Natalya Aynsley’s solo piano concert will showcase some of the most epic music written by Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura for the famous RPGs, featuring the virtuosic arrangements of pieces such as “One-Winged Angel” and “Musique pour la tristesse de Xion” that challenge the artistic expression and push the limits of a pianistic technique.

The concert, titled Worlds Connected, takes place at the iconic Riverside Theatre in Parramatta on Sunday April 29.

Aynsley is encouraging attendees to dress up as their favourite character from the games and plunge into the nostalgia of “Dearly Beloved”, “To Zanarkand” and more, as well as a few never-before-heard original arrangements.

Aynsley is a Russian born classically trained pianist who has played piano since age five.

She moved to Australia from her native Estonia at 13, and obtained the prestigious L.mus.A while still in high school.
