First-person servers will be added to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Xbox One soon.

PC players have had "FPP" servers for a while now, and if my Twitter feed is anything to go by, being locked in first-person is the most tense and enjoyable way to play the game.

Servers that mandate first-person perspective on Xbox One will initially only be available for solo mode.

The patch that delivers the FPP update will also aim to improve client and server performance (and thus framerate), reduce crashes, and more.

Notably, weapons now do more damage to vehicles.

The full list of changes is below.

In related news, Microsoft recently pulled an ad for PUBG after a Redditor complained that it was a copy of one they had posted online months earlier.

Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb said the situation is being investigated, and that he would follow up with the Redditor personally.

Here are the two ads:

Finally, PUBG Corporation CEO Chang Han Kim told Inven Global that he'd like PUBG to become a "universal media franchise".

"We want to take part in diverse industries including esports, movies, drama, cartoons, animation, and more," Kim said.

"In fact, we received a couple of love calls from a number of developers in Hollywood and Netflix. Our dream is to build a new game-based culture through various ways like this, and have the lead of that culture."
