EA has confirmed that beta access for Battlefield 4 will be available to players that pre-order Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition prior to the game’s launch in Australia on October 25.
The company also confirmed that Battlefield 4 will release in spring, 2013.
A pre-order promo for the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter appears to have revealed that Battlefield 4 will be on the way sooner than perhaps anticipated.
The now-removed ad on EA's Origin service read “Medal of Honor Warfighter – Pre-order today for exclusive Battlefield 4 beta access.”
The development of Battlefield 4 has not been confirmed by DICE or publisher EA, although with the success of Battlefield 3, it’s more a question of “when” than “if”.
Battlefield 3 was released just over two years after its predecessor. Assuming a similar development time, Battlefield 4 would be due around November 2013.
Perhaps, then, this was all a ploy to get Warfighter in headlines to build some hype before its October 25 release. Well we’re on to you and will not fall for your tricks, EA.
The latest Battlefield DLC, Armored Kill, is due in September on Xbox 360, PS3, and Windows PC.
