Closing out the significant shows of E3 this morning was Nintendo with their latest Nintendo Direct. Clocking in at just under 45 minutes, Nintendo wasted no time in making some exciting announcements for the Switch. During the show, Nintendo put the spotlight on several major in house developed titles along with a bunch of great looking third-party games.

A Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel is in development. Nintendo teased the game with a short trailer but did not provide a release date or title.

Nintendo finally gave us a closer look at Luigi's Mansion 3 with a great gameplay trailer. The game will feature couch co-op and an online mode that will see a second player taking on the role of "Gooigi", a clone of Luigi made entirely of (you guessed it) goo. Playing solo will see you swapping between both characters to solve puzzles.

Along with a new trailer, we now have a confirmed release date for Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition. The game will be out on September 27.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is getting a Dungeon-Maker mode. This mode will see players placing 'chambers' unlocked in Adventure mode together to create their own custom dungeons. Nintendo also announced that the game will release on September 20.

Nintendo gave us a new story trailer for Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Players will step into the role of Byleth, a teacher at the Officer's Academy. The game is looking fantastic and is easily one of my most anticipated titles for the Switch right now.

Travis Touchdown is back No More Heroes 3, a full-fledged sequel to the mainline series. After the miss-step that was Travis Strikes Again, I'm glad the series appears to be going back to what it does best. While no specific release date was provided, Nintendo stated that the game will release some time in 2020.

Daemon x Machina got an action-packed new trailer and a confirmed release date of September 13.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon has been pushed back to March 2020. Nintendo will be showing off more of this one in their Treehouse live show during E3.

In an unexpected blast from the past, a Panzer Dragoon remake was announced. It will be a remake of the first game that released on the Sega Saturn way back in 1995 and is being developed by Megapixel Studio.

Contra is making a comeback with Contra Rogue Corps, a mix of third-person and top-down action featuring some incredibly bizarre characters.

Nintendo showed off another new trailer for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The trailer features a bunch of well-known characters and also ended with a tease for what players can expect from the game's expansion pass. The expansions will feature playable characters from Marvel Knights, X-Men, and the Fantastic Four.

In what is undoubtedly technical black magic, CD Projekt Red is bringing The Witcher 3: Complete Edition to the Nintendo Switch. We don't have a release date other than 2019 at this stage.

Platinum Games' upcoming Astral Chain got a new action-packed trailer accompanied by a release date of August 30.

The Crypt of the NecroDancer and Legend of Zelda crossover, Cadence of Hyrule si releasing this week on June 13.

Resident Evil 5 & 6 are being ported to the Nintendo Switch. No doubt these will be the most expensive way to play these older entries in the RE series...

Banjo-Kazooie and Dragon Quest 's Hero are the next fighters making their way to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Doom creator, John Romero and Paradox Interactive have teamed up for Empire of Sin. The game looks to be a tactical turn-based top-down shooter in the vein of Xcom with plenty of film-noir stylings.

Nintendo ended their E3 Direct showcase with a sizzle reel games including Spyro the Dragon Trilogy, Ni No Kuni, Minecraft Dungeons, The Sinking City, Alien: Isolation, New Super Lucky’s Tale, all set to release on the Nintendo Switch this year and next.

And that was the show. Altogether, it was a solid showing with plenty to look forward to.
