Doom 3: BFG Edition’s seven-level Lost Mission campaign contains content recycled from the game’s main campaign, gamers have discovered.
Youtube user MarphitimusBlackimus uploaded the video below which shows the similarities between the two editions.
In related news, those who playing the BFG Edition on the Xbox 360 have discovered that installing the game to their hard drive locks them out of Doom and Doom 2, which are also included on the disc.
Bethesda has told Shacknews there is no performance boost gained from installing the game anyway.
Finally, it looks as though the BFG Edition has replaced the original build of Doom 3 on the Steam store and in many digital outlets.
This means that not only do gamers not have the option of paying less for the older version, any mods they wish to use are not supported by the BFG Edition due to its updated engine.
Bethesda is looking into a solution.
