Mass Effect: Andromeda will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC on March 23, BioWare has announced.

The date reveal was made by BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn on the official Mass Effect site.

"We appreciate your patience (and in fact, even your lack of patience in some instances) as we’ve been focused on completing the game," Flynn wrote, calling the game the most ambitious Mass Effect to date.

BioWare is promising new stories, new characters, new planets, new species, and new gameplay systems for Andromeda, which will run in the Frostbite engine for the first time.

"Even more exciting for us over the last couple of months has been seeing the excitement build in the community as we’ve started to share more about the game," Flynn added. "The passion you have for the franchise continues to drive us."
