Phantasy Star Online 2's Vita version will be free-to-play and cross-platform, Sega has revealed.

Vita players will be able to play with those on PC, however only certain lobbies will be available to both.

Released in Japan for Windows PC in July, Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to iOS and Android in that same region later this year.

A Windows PC version ships worldwide in January.

Sega has not yet announced whether the Vita version – out in Japan next year – will see a western release.
