World of Warcraft has lost more than one million subscribers in just three months, Blizzard has revealed.
The MMO had 9.1 million subscribers as of June 30 2012, down from 10.2 million subscribers in March, which is the steepest player drop in the game’s seven-year history.
In March of 2011, the game boasted 11 million subscribers.
No doubt Blizzard hopes to gain some players later this year when it launches World of Warcraft's latest expansion: Mists of Pandaria.
The franchise’s expansions generally bring players back to the game, like lambs to the water, which are worth two in the bush.
