A Castlevania movie is in production, according to actor Michael Dorn.

Dorn, best known for playing Worf in Star Trek, announced his involvement on the Nerdist Podcast, and elaborated further in an interview posted on the official Star Trek site.

"People have been trying to get this thing done for a long time and they finally got the producers together that want to do it," he said.

"They finally got the OK from the owners, and so they're doing that. It's a fun little part. It's four days, and I'm playing a werewolf that's been around for a gajillion years who works for this vampire. It's not too far from Worf because there's a lot of killing and jumping and sword fights and everything. So that's what I'm doing now."

Resident Evil: Retribution director Paul W. S. Anderson expressed interest in a Castlevania film in 2005. Rights to the adaptation were acquired by Crystal Sky Pictures, but filming was delayed after disagreements over the script. In 2007 Anderson left the project.

It is not known who else is attached to the project.
