Activision has announced its plan to announce a new Marvel tie-in game this weekend at a Comic-Con panel, making this story an announcement of an announcement of an announcement.
The likely candidate is High Moon’s comic book adaptation of Hit Monkey, whose official website has mysteriously disappeared in the last 24 hours.
The comic, which was launched in April 2010, follows the exploits of a monkey who learns to be an assassin by observing the training regime of a wounded hitman rescued by his troop.
High Moon are no stranger to adaptations, having developed games based on the Transformers and Bourne franchises.
No formats are known at this time, but the game is slated for release sometime in 2013.
