Another Walking Dead game is on the horizon, this time a first-person shooter being developed by Terminal Reality (Kinect Star Wars) and published by Activision.

Based on AMC’s The Walking Dead TV show rather than the comic, The Walking Dead Video Game has the player guide Daryl Dixon and his brother Merle through a “haunting, unforgiving quest to make their way to the supposed safety of Atlanta”, according to Activision.

The game will contain both stealth and action sections.

“No place is truly safe for Daryl as he makes his way through the Georgia countryside in this new, post-apocalyptic world,” reads a press release for the game.

Supplies will be scarce and players will need to carefully manage food and ammunition as they make their way through the game.

Daryl will encounter a slew of other characters along the way that can help or hurt him, and it will be up to the player to make decisions on who accompanies them on the trek to Atlanta.

This Walking Dead game is due 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
